I have been using a couple of really handy apps lately for tracking my weightlifting, and thought I'd share in case there are other Android users who would like to try them out. :)
Drop and Give Me Twenty! - a hundredpushups.com counter. Tracks all six weeks of the program (including the initial test), tells you how many pushups to do, gives you a timer between them, and tracks your progress. You can count your pushups three ways: a proximity sensor (didn't work for me with the Nexus One, but YMMV), nose-touching-screen (did not try this) or timers-only/manual counting and entry (I'm using this and it works great). This is a really handy app and makes keeping track of this LOTS easier. Free app.
iFitness - based on the iPhone app (which, iPhone/iPad users, means there is a version for you guys, too!), this lists off some 300+ exercises and allows you to sort them into custom workouts, track them, etc. It is absurdly handy. The Android version needs some work (it force closes every time I open it but then works fine, and it's missing a few iPhone features), but for what it does, it's outstanding. Paid app -- US$1.99. Worth every cent, though I do wish they'd hurry up and finish updating it to get it on par with the iPhone; it's a little irritating hearing that the iPhone version is getting constant updates while the Android version isn't.
What apps are you using, if any? I'd be interested in hearing about iPhone or Android apps. (Heck, when WinPhone7 phones are released, I'd be interested in hearing about apps for WinPhone7, and for that matter, websites and desktop apps.)
