Push-ups. Lots and lots of push-ups. And some Turkish get-ups, but mostly push-ups.
I'm just back from doing barbell lifts (and dips and pull-ups) at the gym today. My bench press is now marginally less embarrassing, possibly owing to the push-ups, and I got partway towards a fourth pull-up.
There was another woman in the free weights room today; this was such a novelty that one of the trainers had to exclaim, "Two ladies in the weights room!" as he passed by.
I said, "Shocking, isn't it."
(Also, climbing and yoga have been happening, but they get logged in different comms *g*.)
I've been doing short but exhausting workouts. Workout 1 is negative chinups, underhand pulldowns, barbell split squats, and pushups. Workout 2 is unevenly weighted reverse lunges (hold dumbell on one shoulder), dumbell rows, push presses, reverse crunches, and back extensions.
I'm not quite up to doing an unassisted chinup or an on-the-floor pushup (the bar on the Smith machine is a good way to adjust pushup height), but I'm getting closer.
Ooh. That sounds like an awesome routine (except for the crunches; I have a deep aversion to any kind of crunch or sit-up, but that's an issue between me and my lower back).
Crossfit 3 times, although I was still sore from Thursday and had to really talk myself into going this morning. Hoping my right shoulder settles down again.
Barbell work, lots of cleans, squats and thrusters this week. Thursday we did hand-stand pushups as part of the workout, with me doing a baby variation although I did get spotted and did 20 seconds on a wall-braced static handstand (first time in a hand-stand EVER -- that was fun). Continue to be metaphorically killed whenever they add a running component to the workout.
Love the fact that my crossfit gym has a relatively even division of men (~60%) to women (~40%) and the age ranges from teens (kids class) to sixties or above (hard to judge age when someone's fit).

\o/ My first wall handstand was earlier this year, and it's such an awesome moment.
And yay for diversity of gender and age!
