dips

Last night at the gym I couldn't get on the pec-dec machine (the gym has been packed lately, mostly with teenagers). So I went to the pull-up/dip station instead to see how many dips I could do. I did five, and I thought that kind of sucked, but my arms were already tired when I started. However, I went back a few minutes later and did eight more. So yay!

I hardly ever see women doing dips and I'm not sure why. They're not nearly as hard as pull-ups, for me anyway.

Wow, awesome!

I can do neither yet, so I couldn't tell which are harder.

I think I just don't practice dips enough because I can do more pullups than I can dips. But you're right -- I've seen other women at the gym using the assisted pullup/dip station to do pull-ups but while I've seen guys using it for dips I haven't seen any other women doing dips on it.

I fucking love dips, but they are murder on my wrists, which are very fragile. :(
