Speaking as this comm's resident Turkish get-up evangelist: it is an awesome, awesome exercise.
It does wonderful things for shoulder mobility/stability (which I especially appreciate as I'm a climber), but it also works pretty much every muscle in your body on the way. And it works balance and concentration, too.
