I Deadlifted 145lbs! Twice! I GOT TO USE THE BIG PLATES, YO.
The big plates! Deadlift! Two times, and then a rest, then a third time! Never mind me, I'm going to be over here in the corner, giddy with accomplishment.

Getting to use the big plates for the first time is a great, great moment. Also, unless you've already been lifting off a block, when you start using the big plates it's safer and easier on your lower back because the bar's a little higher off the ground at the start.
