My particular RSI (over two decades typing on an actual typewriter in a totally non-ergonomic setup, whoo, plus elbows that overextend) means I have to be really careful about any kind of weightlifting exercise with my hands/arms/shoulders, even the ones designed for older women in Strong Women Stay Young with like a one-pound can of creamed corn or whatever. So actually something with resistance but no weight-bearing, specifically for hands, that sounds pretty cheap to make might be really helpful.
